Welcome, artists and arts events organizers! The Springfield Cultural Council is the local cultural council for Springfield, MA and each year we fund many artists and arts organizers with Massachusetts Cultural Council funds.Here, applicants will find Grant Information and Guidelines. And we have a special event coming up tagged onto the May 17th Pancake Breakfast: Springfield Cultural Council’s Family Arts Festival

The Springfield Cultural Council is planning two events at this year’s, May 17th Pancake Breakfast on Main Street in Springfield:

- 9 to 11 AM: A Sampling of Springfield Theater and Dance Performers including performances from JELUPA Productions, The Drama Studio and Dream Studios. Location: Court Square.

- All day and every day after the 17th Opening through the Summer: The Springfield Cultural Council’s Main Street Store Front Arts Project.

The SCC is working on filling some of our vacant store fronts with local art. Two SCC Councilors, Collen Moynihan and Rosemary “Tracy” Woods, proprietor of the Art for the Soul Art Gallery in the Classical Condominiums, will be filling three of the empty store fronts along Main Street with local art. Come on down on the 17th and walk along Main Street and take it all in.

This site is also designed to help you get the word out about your events, both to get people to your event and to tell everyone about your event after it has happened. We want it to be a place to share information about anything that would be of help to artists and arts organizations in Springfield.

Click on the Add an Event tab at the top of the page and put the event info in the reply/comments box. If you would like the ability to upload arts events directly to the site, please send an email to us . Include in the email details of the ongoing events you want to add, along with your organization affiliation, and any other pertinent details. If approved , you will be given access to post event pages, which once approved, will go onto the site as posts.
